This week we watched a movie in bible class about evangelical christians and a camp that they all go to North Dakota. There were three main kids that they showed in the movie, and they all seemed a little "brainwashed" and "smart" to me. I know some people might think I mean that in a "their brainwashed because their christian" way. Just get off your high horse and calm down.
The most ignorant person I saw in the whole movie was the leader of the camp. I really did not like her. It seemed as though she didn't know anything about any other religion except for christianity and she bad talked all the other religions when what she said about them wasn't even true. She should have thought about her own religion and question herself as to why it should be the right one and how. That's what really pissed me off about this movie. People are so ignorant and stubborn that they won't even take the time to really research their own beliefs. They just talk about what they hear on tv and the radio and think they know everything when in reality they don't know jack!
Another issue I wanted to talk about while I'm on here is people who don't let their kids experience life and just force them to believe what they believe. The kids in the movie talk about freedom but they haven't really had the chance to completely explore what the world has to offer. How can you be a parent and talk about freedom when you won't even let your own kid explore who they are. So what if your kid turns out to be an atheist, or their gay, or they aren't the smartest one in their class. Just let them be who they want to be! That's better than controlling them and forcing them to do stuff their unhappy with until they go mental and shoot up their school or hospital or something.
That's all I have to say for now.
I LOVE YOU AND SO DOES JESUS :D
