This blog is about not caring. I know it sounds kinda messed up and really selfish, but I'll explain.
I'm sick and tired of people telling me what I should care about and what my opinion on things should be, I'm also tired of people telling me that I should'nt always have such a different opinion on things than other people do. It's my opinion and that's final!
Now I know I sound like a selfish prick, but that's just me! And guess what I don't care!
I've been made fun of for it and picked on about it. But I don't care! People can make fun of me but I don't give a crap. I've heard all the insults there are to be heard!
By now all of those reading this are probably thinking "Oh, David is just going through some rough things right now, we should all just pray for him." WELL! I'm not! I'm just sick and tired of people being total douchebags and not being themselves or as I like to call it, being FAKE!
How about those people be true with themselves before they start trying to give me advice on how I should act.
That's all I got.
David, don't ever let anyone tell you what to think, say or do. It's not being selfish. It's being true to who God made you, thinking for yourself, and learning from your own accomplishments and mistakes. I give you full marks for courage on this!!! Well said, and well done.

ReplyDeleteOne: You're kind of doing the very thing that you want people to stop doing to you--putting thoughts into their heads. I'm pretty sure that at least Jessica and I have never told you what you "should" think. If I ever have, I apologize. Free thought is a luxury that we can't afford to lose.
Two: Yes, you kind of do sound selfish at the moment. But that's fine, this is teen-time. We're supposed to be selfish pricks, because in a few years we'll get to college, and that's where we'll learn that "everybody pity me" doesn't always work. Now I'm not trying to beat you over the head here. By no means should you take my advice on being a person--the blind leading the blind often leads into a pit of lions. Your best guide to how to live is Jesus. And there's a whole freaking Testament of the Bible dedicated to Jesus.
